Fenomilano: a men's leather-shoe eShop built, hosted and supported by Qbrains

The situation before

A fashion brand with its own designs needs an eShop that shows the product as well as the shop window does, and sells it without technical friction. The issues we had to solve:

• Product presentation. Shoes are bought with the eyes. The eShop had to support large, clean photography, colour and size variations per SKU and fast navigation across categories (sneakers, loafers, outlet, eco leather).
• Retail and wholesale together. B2B customers needed their own flow, kept apart from the consumer audience.
• Custom-made orders. The "shoes in your own design" service had to go online with a clear process.
• Trust & legal compliance. Shipping and payment methods, returns, withdrawal, order tracking, all clear and compliant.
• Stability. An eShop that goes down during a sale loses orders. It needed hosting and support from people who answer.

Hosting on Qbrains servers

The eShop runs on our own infrastructure with server-side caching for fast product pages, SSL, daily backups, monitoring and attack protection. During peaks such as sales, the platform has the headroom to absorb the extra traffic without losing orders.

Results

Fenomilano has an eShop that reflects its brand and sells to consumers and trade customers from one store, with custom-made orders, gift cards and every trust page a shopper expects. Hosting and support come from the same team that built it, so there is no "the hosting guy", "the developer" and "the other one": there is one phone number.
