One Two Three High, an app and two custom React platforms in 6 European countries
One Two Three High is a platform from Germany that connects basketball and football athletes with scouts, coaches and agents, in 6 European countries. We built and run the whole ecosystem. The app for athletes on Android and iOS, the Manager for scouts and the Admin for the One Two Three High team, both custom in React, together with the website, the hosting, the support and now the social media.
I want something similar →One ecosystem, three applications
Each audience has its own tool, and all of them talk to the same API and the same database.
The app
For athletes. Posts, video challenges, training, rankings, chat and profiles, on Android and iOS.
The Manager (Pro)
For scouts, coaches and agents. Player search, lists, profiles with ratings, a tactical board and subscriptions. Custom in React.
The Admin
For the One Two Three High team. Content review, users, scout accounts, products and statistics. Custom in React.
The app for athletes
The app is where athletes meet the platform, and it is published on the App Store and Google Play. On the home screen athletes see the feed with posts from the team and their friends, publish their own and find friends. In Challenges they watch the video for each drill and upload their own attempt, which the One Two Three High team reviews before it goes live.
Challenges and daily "flames" earn points, and the Wall of Flames shows the Top 20 athletes. Training has practice videos filtered by skill and level, and there are notifications, chat with friends and a profile with the athlete's details, posts and challenges.

The Manager (Pro) for scouts & agents
This is where the serious B2B work happens. The Manager is a custom React platform we built for professionals in the field, with a separate experience for basketball and football.
The dashboard shows how many athletes are active, the top five in each key skill of the sport, the ten most popular players by points, the positions the scout searches for most and the countries with the most players.

Lists, profiles and video
Scouts build lists with criteria, country, position, age, height, weight, preferred foot or hand and name. Results are ranked by the same points athletes see in the app, and every list exports to Excel.
Saved lists keep the criteria rather than the names, so they are always up to date. Each player profile shows skill ratings, physical details and completed challenges, and the video player detects on its own whether a clip is vertical or horizontal, with slow motion and frame-by-frame viewing.

The tactical board
In the Field the scout drags players onto the court and builds a starting five in basketball or a 4-3-3 eleven in football, with the substitutes on their own bench. Alongside, the averages of starters and substitutes in every skill, plus a short read of the line-up.

Subscriptions and free trial
Scouts see and upgrade their own subscription from the Plans page, with plans and prices for their own sport. The One Two Three High team can also give them a 24-hour free trial. During the trial they can search, view players and videos and use the Field, but they cannot save lists, export or message players, so the platform's data is not given away for free.
The subscription is checked on every action. When it expires the user is signed out with a clear message, and when a trial ends they go straight to the plans.

The Admin for the One Two Three High team
The Admin is the second custom React platform, for the team that runs One Two Three High. From there it reviews the videos athletes upload to challenges, with a review queue and filters per sport, and follows the platform's statistics with registration and growth charts.
It manages the content, coaches' videos, sponsors, events and files, the users and content reports. It creates athletes with their details, and scout accounts with as many days of access as it wants or as a free trial. The whole Admin is in English, with light and dark themes.

Infrastructure, website and social media
The whole ecosystem runs on our own VPS Nginx hosting. The app server restarts itself if it ever needs to and sends an email alert, and every request to the Manager and the Admin is checked for sign-in, role and subscription. We also provide the technical support.
We built the website that accompanies the app too, and we recently took over the social media, so product, infrastructure and promotion all sit with one team.

The website on desktop & mobile
As visitors see it on every device.

The result
One Two Three High runs today in 6 European countries, with three applications that talk to each other. Athletes have their app, scouts and agents a professional tool with subscriptions, and the One Two Three High team full control from the Admin.
With the code, the infrastructure, the support and the social media in one pair of hands, the product can grow into new markets and new sports without technical worries. Another product we developed and operate is MyLiveGym.
