Tataropoulos: a jeweller since 1966 with an eShop we host, speed up and support

What was needed

A jewellery eShop has particular demands. Photos have to be sharp and detailed, the catalogue is large, and buyers are often looking for a gift for a specific occasion, such as a wedding or a christening. These were the requirements.

• Speed. Around 4,300 products with many photos means a lot of content that has to load quickly, on mobile and desktop.
• Reliability. The store had to be available around the clock, on web hosting looked after by a team that knows the site.
• Two languages. The Greek and English versions had to work equally well.
• Fast response. When something needs changing or fixing, the business wanted a partner who answers quickly.

Web hosting on our own infrastructure

tataropoulos.gr is hosted on our own infrastructure and its technical support is in our hands. That way hosting and the speed gained through optimization sit with the same team.

Because hosting and optimization are handled by the same team, we follow every change in the store, from new products to updates, from the server side as well.

The outcome

Tataropoulos has a bilingual eShop with around 4,300 products that loads faster and is hosted on our own infrastructure. Hosting, speed and support are in one pair of hands, so every issue is solved by a partner who knows the whole system. We did similar work for the Emmy lingerie eShop.
